First time surfers can expect to learn the easiest and correct methods of standing up on a surfboard, basic surfing techniques, safe board handling in the water, and general water safety awareness – essential knowledge and skills for taking your surfing to the next level. If you have already covered the basics we can adapt the lesson to focus on more advanced surf techniques.

We work on a 7:1 instructor/student ratio ensuring that you get supervision for the duration of your lesson.

• All the equipment you need: surfboard, 5mm wetsuit & booties
• Transport to and from Dingle to beach
• ISA approval and insurance
• Super friendly and qualified surf instructors who spend the whole lesson with you in and out of the water
• 7:1 Student/Instructor ratio. The recommended is 8:1
• An introduction to surfing covering basic beach safety, equipment overview and an introduction to surfing technique. If you’ve already covered the basics, we’ll tailor the session to suit your needs
• Minimum of 1.5 hours of supervised surfing
• Allow 3 hours from start to finish
• FREE transfers from Dingle town to the beach

Dingle Surf School is the only dedicated surf school in Dingle town. We provide a friendly, safe and fun introduction to the exhilarating sport of surfing. Using our FREE “surf-bus” we will pick you up from the Dingle Surf Shop and take you north on The Wild Atlantic Way over the breathtaking Conor Pass to our main base of operations at Kilcummin on Brandon Bay. Kilcummin gives us unparalleled consistent waves while still offering unbeatable safety. Its pretty much the perfect wave for beginners and children.
